McCain crafted and sponsored a bill to give illegal aliens amnesty. Hillary and Obama didn’t. McCain crafted and sponsored a bill to limit freedom of political speech. Obama or Hillary didn’t. Hes more committed to these things than they are. That’s all I need to know. The Supreme Court argument is not convincing since any justices leaving will be leftists and the worse that would happen is that they would be replaced by another leftist. Not great but not a real loss. Just maintaining the status quo.Of couse, if you saw McCain, tonight, you know any discussion about policy is moot.

He is not a man physically capable of running an effective campaign against any serious opponent dedicated to winning. There is no energy. No vitality. He barely moves. His voice has no emotion. He's not really there. It's like they pumped him up with something and led him out. He's Dole and Stockdale all in one.

McCain does not look well at all. He really seems to have deteriorated physically the past six weeks.

God I remember Dole....that guy wasn’t even half as bad as McCain and I ran from him screaming.

I don’t think McCain’s going to win either.

Just think if it had been ROMNEY who snagged the nomination tonight! Wouldn’t we all be happy, sitting, chatting, comparing Romney to Hill or Obama, confident, ready to enjoy the debates.

Instead we’re all bummed out with this McCain loser.

I don’t think McCain can win against either Hill or Obama and frankly I’d rather Hillary win than Obama although they’re both bad.

But just think, with Romney no doubt we’d be optimistic and easily seeing him winning either of these Dems.

What a damn bummer.

Which means he might not make it to the end of his first term as President. This is why we need to make our voices heard with regard to the vice president pick--something like a petition stating that we will not vote for Mccain unless he picks one of the following: Duncan Hunter, Fred Thompson, Michael Steele, etc. Provide a list of about 10 solid conservatives and demand that he pick from the list. Circulate the petition in every possible way. Send the message to McCain: Without us, you can't win. I'd be willing to sign such a petition, and I would be willing to keep my promise not to vote for him if he ignores us, as he has so many times before.

Who of the candidates voted for Roberts? That is story and illustrates the differences between the candidates.
