Okay, so we train 18 year old kids to kill for our safety, send them to a foreign country where a lot of people are trying to kill them, tell them they have to forget all the rules of society because of what the enemy will do to them and we expect them to remain unaffected.
If the video is accurate, slap the perps on the wrist and get them some help. These are marines, that was a common dish eaten in Vietnam. Keep your eyes on the ball, folks. Combat affects different people different ways. If you haven’t walked the mile, don’t judge.
Excuse me? My father, God rest his soul, flew B-17’s in WWII from February 1944 to the end. He flew 30 missions over the Reich and saw his friends shot down and blown up. Their formations dropped thousands of tons of bombs.
He never elicited any bloodthirsty tendencies afterwards. In fact he was one of the most even-tempered and unflappable guys I’ve ever known.
This is just excuse-making on your part. The military is supposed to instill discipline in the ranks to keep this sort of thing from happening. Obviously, if true, these two imbeciles fell through the cracks.

No, killing innocent stuff isn't a way to handle stress. Going out at night into the boonies and hunting for bad guys is how to handle stress. Killing bad people always makes it better.
I'm never going to trade a dog for a man, heck I wouldn't even trade a civilian in country for one of my men...... but if I ever caught one of them pulling a stunt like that, then FILMING IT!!!! and then posting it. I'd have my boot so far up their rear that they'd pray to go to a court-martial instead of office hours and possibly meeting me again.
IF and I mean "IF" these guys are Marines, they have dishonored themselves and, by wearing the uniform, every other Marine. They should call Murtha for a job and be done with it.
