Yep.
Some crank bought it from Russia in the early 1990's and it's on public display in the University (wouldn't cha know?) District of Seattle.
There was a great exhibit on Russia’s junked Lenin statures at the Smithsonian’s S. Dillon Ripley center in the early nineties.
There were some hilarious artists conceptions on what to do with them. Also a fascinating photographic essay on how the various statues had been displayed across the Soviet Union back in the day.
In towns in Soviet Central Asia some Lenin statues had been displayed rather subversively on garishly colorful tiled pedestals and fountains that aesthetically overwhelmed them.
Of course, under Pooty, a good many of them have been hauled out of the junkyard, refurbished and restored to their places.
The Lenin statue is in Fremont.
not in univ district at all. it’s in fremont.
