Obama Crowds Cheer Anything
RushLimbaugh.com ^ | February 29, 2008 | Rush Limbaugh

Posted on 03/01/2008 5:08:35 AM PST by ConservativeStLouisGuy

RUSH: From the Los Angeles Times:  "They came to cheer. They got a lecture. The crowd went wild.  During a Barack Obama town-hall meeting on the economy, the topic turned to education, which, the Illinois senator said, could not be remedied by spending alone. 'It doesn't matter how much money we put in if parents don't parent,' he scolded.  The line is one the Democrat delivers often, but on Thursday in Beaumont, Texas, he struck a remarkable chord with his mostly African American audience.  'It's not good enough for you to say to your child, "Do good in school," and then when that child comes home, you've got the TV set on,' Obama lectured. 'You've got the radio on. You don't check their homework. There's not a book in the house. You've got the video game playing.'  Each line was punctuated by a roar, and Obama began to shout, falling into a preacher's rhythm. 'Am I right?'

'So turn off the TV set. Put the video game away. Buy a little desk. Or put that child at the kitchen table. Watch them do their homework. If they don't know how to do it, give 'em help. If you don't know how to do it, call the teacher.'  By now, the crowd of nearly 2,000 was lifted from the red velveteen seats of the Julie Rogers Theatre, hands raised to the gilded ceiling. 'Make 'em go to bed at a reasonable time! Keep 'em off the streets! Give 'em some breakfast! Come on! Can I get an amen here?'  Whooooooooooooooooo, went the crowd. 'You know I'm right,' Obama laughed. 'And, since I'm on a roll, if your child misbehaves in school, don't cuss out the teacher! You know I'm right about that! Don't cuss out the teacher! Do something with your child!'  Pandemonium.  'All right, all right,' he finished, 'settle down. We're having too much fun here. ... I'm speaking the truth!'"

So the crowd in Beaumont, Texas, went wild as Obama tells them basic information on child rearing.  Give 'em some breakfast.  Yay!  As though it was a new concept; as though they couldn't think of this on their own.  Wash your hands after using the bathroom.  Yay!  Don't stay out in the rain. Come in out of the rain.  Yaaaay.  Look both ways before crossing the street.  Yaaay.  One thing he didn't say was teach 'em how to get a job.  But, look, I know some of you are thinking, "Rush, what's wrong with that advice?  What in the world is wrong with that advice?"  Doesn't it bother you, folks, that basic child rearing is being taught as part of a presidential campaign?

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH:  By the way, when Michelle Obama starts slamming the hedge fund business, what prominent person that we all know is in the hedge fund business?  Among many others, Chelsea Clinton is in the hedge fund business, ladies and gentlemen.  As far as Obama's speech in Beaumont, Texas, don't misunderstand.  I have no problem with that kind of instruction to kids or parents, you know, taking their responsibilities as parents seriously.  But don't forget, Bill Cosby tried that same thing, and they practically ran him out of the race.  They practically ran him out of the race.  And Obama, I think, is plagiarizing me when he starts that little speech by saying, "We've thrown enough money at this; it's time for you to get involved."  That's plagiarism of El Rushbo and conservatism.  It's just, when I look at the fact that this is a movement and not a political campaign and that the attachment to Obama is based on faith, here you have people who have not the slightest idea.  This is going to be really tough, folks.  Here you have people haven't the slightest idea, apparently, how to raise their own kids; otherwise this kind of message would not be receiving standing ovations. (interruption)

Now, Snerdley's frowning at me on this, but Mr. Snerdley, you know I am always two days ahead of things.  I am always way ahead of things on this, and if you just take this for what it is... "Rush, how can you oppose it?"  I'm looking down the road. I'm looking down the road at: How are we going to beat this guy, if he is building up this kind of faith attachment on this kind of thing? If the president of the United States is going to be elected by teaching people how to raise their kids, while at the same time making blunder, after blunder, after blunder when he opens his mouth about foreign policy; do you realize what that means? Canadian TV has got this story, and they're not going to reveal their source. There's some people denying this, but after the debate Tuesday night where both Clinton and Obama just trashed NAFTA.  Apparently Clinton did, too -- or Obama, called some people in Canada and said, "We're not going to mess with the relationship we have with you regarding NAFTA, it's just politics.  It's just politics. I just have to say this kind of thing.  You know, I'm in a primary campaign, I got a lot of people don't like NAFTA."

Now, Canadian officials are denying it, and Obama is denying it, but the CTV network is standing by the story.  Don't know whether it's true or not, but it's something that's totally unbelievable.  These are people who will tell their audience anything, say whatever in order to get votes, win an election, and so forth, and then revert to form afterwards.  I mean, the idea that these guys are going to do anything about NAFTA is ridiculous.  It's just not going to happen.  Mrs. Clinton can sit there and say, "I'm going to renegotiate it on more favorable terms and so forth." It's all BS.  It's literal BS.  But they're in Ohio, and there's people in Ohio and Zanesville and other places, Youngstown, that they're trying to make out like ghost towns, who want to blame NAFTA for this.

At first I thought that a vote for O’bama was a vote against Hillary.

Now I’m not so sure. These folks are freaking out.

It is scary either way.

BhO has several things going for him, two of which are his remarkable evangelizing ability and oratory, and the deep-seated hatred of Bush and "the old ways".

So BhO promises change. Change can mean a lot of things, but the first thing it means is a change in the Presidency, AKA down with the hated Bush!

Of course, Bush can't run again and so regardless of the outcome, W will be out of the WH, but BhO has found a wave to ride on this theme. Out! Come out, I say! By the powers vested in me by the eternal Hyperbole, I command you to leave this Washington, evil Bush spirit! Get thee behind me! Stop killing innocents and lying and annoying the Europeans! I pour Homey Water over you. Begone!

It is truly amazing to see the wild, dumb adoration of BhO's fans at a concert. They don't know much about the man, and they can't name a single accomplishment he has made, and they will crucify you if you dare to mention his Church of Black Values or his middle name which must not be spoken. But they are going to vote for him in their wild quest for hope, change, lunch, plasma TV, sex, you name it. BhO represents it. Just vote for BhO, and Everything Will Be Different.

Just don't try to engage the Obamaniacs about exactly how he will end the divisions in this country or "repair this world", specific and logical thought is not welcome.

The Bible says that faith is the evidence of things unseen. They must have a lot of faith, for there are a whole lot of things unseen in BhO.

Ah, none of the last three Presidential candidates are suitable or ready to become President. The next 4 years are going to be interesting.

True but the only people passing out at McCain rallies are those who didn’t have a full oxygen bottle.

And if Bush said those same things, he would be cheered on FR for speaking out about the breakdown in parenting.

These people who are roaring with approval at Obama's words don't even realize that they are being criticized by him and being made to be an example of “poor parenting.” He pointed out that in his opinion these very people are clueless about raising their children. Their kids have no respect, they are sloppy and without couth, so Obama had to tell them what rules to enforce at home. Obviously Obama feels those parents in the audience don’t take responsibility for their child’s behavior or making sure their kids keep things clean, study, go to bed on time, etc. They even have to be told to tell their kids to wash their hands! The irony of this is astounding!

What kind of dumbos don't already know these things about raising their children? According to Obama, it is the people in his audiences - the very people he wants to vote for him. The very people who are too inept at being parents, are capable of making decisions regarding his ability to be a president? What a frightful revelation Obama has made about these people and his true thoughts about them. If Obama feels he has to give them instructions and advice about raising children and disciplining them, how can he feel they are able to handle decisions about the direction of this country? They can’t even handle decisions about their on their children without being "educated" by Obama.

After his speech I just bet these same people went home, turned on the TV, let their dirty laundry lay around in heaps, had beer bottles or drugs sitting around, let their children run wild and go out until late at night, and will argue with the school when their child is disciplined. These same people will complain when their kid ends up in jail and blame someone else for their plight. They will not change one bit because Obama talked to them, and made them sit through a lecture on basic skills. They clapped because it is Obama, not that they have any inkling of a desire to do anything about their own faults and failings, those things that he so obviously has made them a target for public ridicule.

Oh, sure, they will blindly vote for him, because he excited them for a moment, but they have no idea what an election is all about and the seriousness of what is at stake. He has played to their basic ignorance and dumbed-them down even more. He has focused the eyes of the country on the need for these people to be responsible for themselves and their kids, because he believes they are not. That is really PC, isn’t it?

If McCain had said those same things to the same audience, he would have been booed and criticized by the liberals and the media from Maine to California. But Obama got away with it because he is black, period. He has stooped to this “preaching” low in his speech for these audiences because he obviously believes they cannot focus on or comprehend speeches about important national issues - so he has to tell them to be sure to tell their kids to wash their hands. That they understand. That they need, because it is obvious, according to Obama’s lecture, that he feels they have no capability to understand anything complex. So Obama chose to talk to them about simple, common-sense parental behavior. Maybe next time he will bring in a-b-c blocks?

These audiences, who cheer Obama instructing them in the basic principles of life don’t even realize how he has disrespected them by making it publicly known he thinks they have been totally un-successful as adults and parents.

Is he running a political campaign so he can run the country, or going to spend time in the White House dealing with family counseling for the masses who have no capability to run their own homes?

Rush: "Here you have people haven't the slightest idea, apparently, how to raise their own kids; otherwise this kind of message would not be receiving standing ovations. "

Rush's take is wrong on this. These people are liberals. Not one of them thinks any of this applies to them. They are good people. They are advanced people. They know better than we do. They are wildly cheering that finally somebody has the guts to scold all the other stupid rubes who are the real reason public schools can't teach.

Clinton and Obama are the same candidate.

Rush has said liberals can’t say who they are for fear of losing the sheeple’s support.

Obama isn’t hiding or pretending. He is “out” there running for King of America as a
Marxist, Extremist, Baby Killer, Tax Raising, Christo-Muslim, Descendent from Slave
Traders, Entitlement Distributionist.

Yet... the sheeple rejoice.

When asked if he supported NAFTA.

O’bama said, “NAFTA has done a fair job with the space program but they need change.”

The entire crowd fainted and Michelle said, “For the first time in my adult life I’m proud to be an American”.

Hillary asked, “Is the Senator was comfortable?”
