BTW: What the heck is “Barrack”??? Is it a variant of Barruch? The Hebrew Barrach means Thunder, I believe.

Barack is the Arabic equivalent of the Hebrew Baruch, and both mean “Blessed.” The word for “lighting” is close; the last consonant is close in sound but a different letter. “Bless”/”blessed”/”blessing” = B-R-K. “Lightning” = B-R-Q.
