Blacks probably make up nearly 50% of the Democratic vote.
And that highlights the problem even if Blacks turnout in high numbers, they are only 13% of the total US population, Che Obama cannot win with those numbers.
Being 12% of the US population and assuming that they turn out at a rate of 50% in a general election, I don't think black voters are nearly as influential as the MSM would have us believe.
>>Blacks probably make up nearly 50% of the Democratic vote.
Let’s run some rough numbers.
Blacks are around 13% of the U.S. population. They vote overwhelmingly Democrat. Let’s say 95%.
Democrats are about 33% of the population (Republicans are about 29% and Independents are the balance).
If you do the math at 95%, that would make blacks 37% of the Dem primary electorate. This is probably not an unreasonable number for many states, and may even be low for states with large black populations and open primaries.
Even if you assume only 50% of blacks bothered to register Dem, this would make them 20% of the Dem primary electorate.
It’s not 50%, but it’s certainly a significant number.
Not remotely close.
That would be interesting considering I don’t believe blacks make up 25% of the population.
