Democratic Base Fissures
Although attention has been focused on McCain's problems with the GOP base, there are indications that some Democrats might defect if Obama is the party's nominee. Overall, 20% of white Democratic voters say they would vote for McCain if Obama is the Democratic nominee. That is twice the percentage of white Democrats who say they would support McCain in a Clinton-McCain matchup. Older Democrats (ages 65 and older), lower-income and less educated Democrats also would support McCain at higher levels if Obama rather than Clinton is the party's nominee.

Every single one of the men are planning to vote McCain. They absolutely HATE Hillary. They won't tell me why they won't vote for Obama, but I have a pretty good idea.
Based on the results of this poll, they are not alone.

I will have to see the results before I will believe that 20% of the white Dems voted for McCain. Most Dems, that I know, would vote for a tree stump before voting for a Republican.

OK. Thanks for the links. The more I learn about Obama, the nastier he gets. I just don’t see how any conservative can say they will vote for him or stay home after seeing just what a piece this guy is.

The big question is did they vote for Kerry or Gore?
For every dumb thing Obama's wife says, John McCain's Mom will say something even dumber. Why can't he keep her locked up until after the election? If you can't control your own mom, how are you going to control the socialists and the media when you're president?
Not this year. This election is definitely not your run of the mill election cycle.
But McCains mama has an excuse. She’s old. A lot of people find the outspokeness of old ladies endearing. Like when Connie Chung set up Newt’s mama to say what Newt thought of Hillary. She told her it was just between the two of them and she had the cameras rolling. That backfired on her. Everyone thought it was a dirty trick on Ms. Chung’s part. They thought Newt’s mama was cute.
My prediction:
20% of Obama supporters vote for McCain after Hillary steals the nomination.
Most white male Dem will vote for ANY white, before they would vote for a black for President.
And Connie lost her job because of it, lol.

All of them plan to vote for McCain. Again, it is only anecdotal evidence, but it doesn't seem like they will be alone.

I certainly hope you are right. Nothing scares me more than the thought of an Obama or Hitlery Presidency.
