And neither was/is GWB, Dole, GHWB, Ford, Nixon, etc. In fact, VERY rarely does the GOP electorate nominate a candidate about which the conservative base gets enthusiastic. McCain is simply the latest.

Or better yet, cast your vote for a Third-Party candidate! Better a "Ross Perot" to put in Obama, than a Republican RINO whose conservative credentials are not in order!

All those wishing to have an Official Conservative Party affiliation, move to Italy, England, or Germany. There, the conservatives belong to "Liberal" parties, in the original meaning of the term. In this outfit, we have two big tents to accomodate everyone. It's a bummer, but it's us. Pick a tent. Try to take over. If you don't succeed, stay in the tent and keep trying.
