I have never had a bride pay for my dress. I paid for every dress myself and NEVER wore them again because they were too dorky
The only thing I’ve ever been asked is I was in a wedding where the headpieces for the attendants were designed around our hairstyles and special made so I was asked to not change my hairstyle before the wedding.
My bridesmaid dresses were simple and beautiful black dresses that they’ve all worn since. Heck I ordered one for myself I liked it so much.
