That’s not a winning argument.

I think morality is better off decided by States........

I beg to differ. This is the the only correct argument. Hearts and minds must be changed. The battle can be state by state, but to argue state's rights is not supported by The Constitution.

Preamble

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Fifth Amendment

No person shall be...deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law..."

Fourteenth Amendment

No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
