‘Honestly, at this point, I dont think it would matter if the guy was wearing a burgqah and swinging a scimitar? I bet theyll still vote for him.
A lot of folks are saying that we really dont know much about Obamas policy positions. I dont think its going to matter to the Dems.’
A lot of things can happen between now and Novemnber; but I kind of felt that it was not going to be the Republican year after ‘06. Certainly, it’s not the conservative year.
While he may fade with some I believe that he will ride the liberal wave known as what I call the “dorm vote”. Most of the time the college kids talk about voting and politics, as if they know what the hell goes on in the world (I know there are a few who do). They talk a good game of voting for ninnies and libs, but come election day they can’t seem to manage to get out of bed to vote. I don’ think this is going to be the case with Obama.
I’ve had to swallow a lot of pride at the prospect of voting for McCain, but the more I hear about Obama, the more I think I might acually get out there and work for the Ancient Mariner. ~ well, at least for our soldiers in the field.
A lot of similarities between this election and ‘76, in which case maybe it’ll be closer than many think.
There is a lot to learn about Obama and there is much that Mrs. Barry might say between now and November.
Another thing that I had just thought of this week ~ and I think that anything is possible with the Clintons ~ Hilary is going down and she knows she’s going down. She won’t take a veep seat. Maybe she will kneecap Mr. Barry on the way out of the race to open the door fo another presidential run in ‘12. It could happen??
