If viewed from a long term political stand point looking at SCOTUS, the theory goes that if we have a RAT Hillary or Obama in power for 4 years they will only have the chance to replace LIBS with LIBS that will not affect the make up of the court. Also, in those 4 years the RAT would not pull troops or be able to accomplish the lofty goals they profess, creating strife and internal civil wars in the RATS party.

Giving a McCain 4-8 years would disenfranchise the conservatives and the Reagan Democrats that cross over for many moons to come.

I am not completely behind this, but when politics are viewed farther out than 2-4 year blocks, a different picture comes into focus.

Thoughts anyone?

Even though the global left never stops pushing, we’re beginning to see some grassroots movements in foreign countries that are pushing their leadership a little more to the right. This may help the U.S. stay center-right. Obama, however, would give a huge boost to leftists worldwide. Temporarily, perhaps, but long enough to do damage. I think McCain would do much better at maintaining the center-right, as long as we stay on him.

Your comments show you have given the matter serious thought. The down side is, no mater who becomes president, amnesty becomes real. Especially since history has been rewritten by the media proving that there was no real opposition to it. It was just an illusion of talk radio.

And, of course, all the candidates see talk radio as a target for the fairness doctrine.

Here are my thoughts;

I look at the senate when repubs decided to do this very thing... If it weren’t for President Bush and vetoing some of the Dimwads we would have a LOT of problems to deal with.
SO Now Let’s have the Republican voters do the same thing with the Presidential vote? No veto, we get hosed big time.
Be CAREFUL what you vote for people.

I look at it this way, our troops do not cut and run IF a situation only looks partly good. They fight the fight.
So If I only have part of an arsenal Do I drop the ball and run? not me.

BE REALLY SURE you want the outcome of your vote people because it really is going to count this time.

your friend,

So you would rather give Hillary or Obama the right to pick the successors to Justice Stevens or Justice Ginsburg than John McCain? Tell me, did you like the choices of Alito and Roberts to the Supreme Court? McCain voted yes on both of them, Hillary and Obama both voted no.

We are one vote away from the elimination of Roe v. Wade. Are you willing to throw away all the gains we’ve made based on personal hatred of McCain? I have never been a fan of McCain, but I would much rather have him picking those justices than Hillary or Obama.
