I tuned into WDRC up here in the Hartford area to (hopefully) listen to Tony during the last hour of O'Reilly's show. I just learned that WDRC cuts off the final hour of O'Reilly's show in order to run yet another BORING local radio talk show.

WDRC absolutely sucks, and has been going downhill for years. This station used to be the only Hartford-area carrier of Sean Hannity's and Laura Ingraham's show, but they stupidly cancelled them both in favor of purely awful local shows. I've listened to these local shows... words cannot describe how horrible they are, particulary the whiny-voiced Mary Jones show that replaced the wonderful "hometown girl", Laura Ingraham (she grew up in Glastonbury, CT).

WDRC's program director claims these local shows generate a lot of interest "based on listener and client feedback". Yeah, right. I'm still waiting for him to provide me with the Arbitron ratings to back that statement up.

Back to Rush on WTIC. Sure wish we could get the wonderful WELI up here... :-(
