I question this story at all. According to the rules, "Major presidential and vice presidential candidates, and their spouses within 120 days of a general presidential election". Obama should not even HAVE Secret Service at this point. Can anyone clarify?

Perhaps because he is a sitting senator? Or, maybe it's an option for them to choose? Don't know. Just asking too.

Not according to the secret service web site. He’s not entitled to them until he gets the nomination. Hillary is a spouse of a former president so she gets them.
