I'm really confused by all this flood of "ancestry" findings. I'm currently learning the new American language (Mexican. I pick 'Espanol' at those self-checkout aisles), but then I realized that the American Indians really own my home, so I started learning Paiute. Then, just last week, I find out that the Mongols and Chinese really have a claim against my home because they found genetic ties between them and the American Indians. So I order the Mandarin Chinese CD from Rosetta Stone and all of a sudden I hear two days ago that we're all descended from Africans. OK, so I'm busy packing up my CD to exchange it for Swahili and - BAM! - I'm back to the northern Asian ancestry.
I tell ya', it's tough being non-indigenous!

I tell ya', it's tough being non-indigenous! Thanks for today's first genuine laugh. It's an ironic laugh, though, when I realize people with power take this stuff seriously and divvy up money and special "rights" on that basis. I wonder if anyone's ever going to do a genetic study to find out who all those "indigenous" people displaced?

Excellent point.
But let me see if I can get this straight on another level. Things are never as simple as they seem:
If we all came out of Africa, that indicates to me that all the overachievers left. Those with small IQs were left behind; therefore, the original natives
our ancestors
continue to live in loincloths or something and continue to use spears. Did they ever learn about the wheel?
I really think I am on to something.
