Murdock tried, but succumbed to criticisms by his NY competitors, and now produces a news channel that just copies the rest, for the most part.

He started out well and with the right idea.

Focus on the heartland, their concerns, opinions, way-of-life, patriotism, individualism, struggles and accomplishments.

He has now gone the way of the rest; East-coast centric.
