To this article:

“Oh stop for heaven’s sakes!!”

As for McCain .. if I were innocent I would sue the very hell out of the NYT and I wouldn’t stop until I got what I wanted and soaked them for every single dime I could get out of them. Then I would put the money into a worthwhile charity. If you don’t stand up and DO something about this kind of thing it will continue. There are lots of filthy fingers around this story and it’s time someone actually took them to task for it. If McCain just makes the statements and answers a few questions then he is asking for more. Do it up big John and clear your name for your family and for this country. Otherwise.......

Pretty hard to sue anybody when you are a public figure, in fact, almost impossible.

I should have added “for defamation”.

At the very least I’d demand the NYT apoligize to me and my wife. To say he’s “disappointed” is strange to say the least. He says the story is a lie, no one has point blank asked him if he had sex with this women. He looks guilty as sin to me. Remember his first response last night, “I haven’t read the story”. You need to read a story to know whether or not you cheated on your wife? Then he has his lawyer make the rounds on the AM shows?!? Sorry Johnny Boy this story is just getting started.

Your suggestion makes perfect sense, if the story is not true. So I am puzzled. Why doesn’t he sue the NY Times? A reasonable person with millions of dollars to burn would.

However, if I were guilty and I knew the NY Times sources were solid maybe I would not sue. Just a thought. I hope he sues. If he does not then I suppose we will hear more from the NY Slimes.
