I think it takes about 90 min or so to get the damn thing dried off when the moisture stops, and that ain't happenin' for at least another 20min or so.

They outght to just let these people go home for the night. Its painful watchin' everyone in the elements, while I sit typin' on the warm, dry couch. :-))

Well, I kept thinkin’ I was “smellin’ some wet” for a week or so. We’d climbed under the house and begun leveling it a little at a time for the last few weeks. (tryin’ to get it done while it’s still too chilly for snakes under there) I’d noticed this one water line was touching the ground and looked rusted and worn, went under today and heard it even before I got my head through the underpinning. Fortunately it was a very accessible pipe and was more time consuming than trouble.
