HAHAHAHA
My C pick got me again..
Too bad Hornish got torched , he was about the only car that didn’t get back in the race today.. On to Vegas!
I had Mikey and thought he was out before the race started. Did anyone hear what caused that massive oil leak?
loose clamp or sumthin’

6:16 p.m. — Michael Waltrip is dropping oil on the racetrack. He has slowed and heads to pit road. Officials will have to clean the surface.
I spent all day Sunday watching race coverage etc. Finally gave up and watched movie. Then I heard it was back on for a 10 pm start (12 am) here. I went to bed. I understand what rain can do to a race because I used to race myself. Believe me, I know the track and NASCAR did everything possible to get the race in on Sunday.
I have seen it from both angles, as a racer, and as a spectator. It takes a lot of dedication on the part of the fans to sit in cold and rain for 8 to 12 hours. Not many sports can claim that kind of fan dedication.
worst part of the Monday reschedule, I had to work, no access to a radio. Even worse was missing my Driver do a flip for winning! Of all the times I miss a race.
Charlotte is definitely an experience of it’s own making. We go to the fall race, starts late afternoon and ends in the dark. Humpy always has top notch entertainment pre race.
A word of advice. Don’t try to drive in. Pay the $40 for the shuttle. Traffic is terrible in and out anytime during race weekend.
Also there is a driving tour you can take that takes you to the race shops around Mooresville, Concord, area. Most of the shops have museums and gift shops. Until you see the shop facilities can one really fathom how much money is involved for a race team to entertain us every Weekend.
Sittin right on it and ya missed it, eh?
I think South Texas has done that more than any of us.
Hey! I’ve been sick and working at the same time, supposed to be working now... LOL
Thank you. I think that little girl is going to be a problem for her daddy.
And here's another of the baby in the racecar. She looks exactly like a miniature Jeff.
Why?
She’s a girl with far away eyes. ;)
Yes, she does seem to be a mighty serious little thinker for an 8-month-old. I love the pic where she's holding onto daddy's hair with a worried look while sitting on his shoulders. :)
PS: Ingrid likes dangle earings. I wonder if Ella has found those yet and given them a good yank, as babies love to do. ;-)
I'm sure mama will discover shortly, if she hasn't already, about the hazards of wearing baubles around babies. LOL
Did you get your power?
Bit of an update on the hauler parade.....
"The transporters will be staged at approximately 2:30 p.m. in the right lane of Las Vegas Boulevard just south of Russell Road. Once all trucks are lined up, the haulers will move north using the middle lane of northbound Las Vegas Boulevard. The haulers will proceed the roughly five miles to Sahara Avenue before returning to Interstate 15 and the short ride north to the speedway."
On my drive into work, I get off I-15 at Russel Rd and head west to Las Vegas Blvd, the south on Vegas Blvd. I do not take the same route (reverse, of course) to come home, too congested, but if I did I'd be able to reach out and touch 'em.
Too bad the timing is off by a bit, probably only hours....remember me talking about Jr's jet?
As these trucks get staged for the parade, they are right next to the private jet parking at McCarren. And I do mean right next to them - less than 100 ft away.
Need more camera's....and another me....as I will be home by 2:30, waiting for the boy to show up.
I think I might ask a bud at work (work location is less than two miles from this) to get some pics from that location. Depends on if he can leave a bit early or not. And the boy is a huge Dale Sr fan. And a top notch amateur photographer with some high dollar toys.
I'll see about doing some 'horse tradin' tomorrow.
