Well,very true about affirmative action.It causes the distinct uneasiness that whenever you meet a minority professional,in the back of your mind you wonder”how did he GET that job?”
The corollary to ending affirmative action is to also eliminate mindless discrimination in hiring in FAVOR of whites,a practice that went on for many years in this country.
And while I know Obama and crew are big advovates for affirmative action,the whole policy really got going in 1969 under Republican Richard Nixon and contimued unabated in the Reagan years.
The solution to that is free market capitalism. Simple isn't it?
