I’m planning to vote for Senator McCain in November. Thinking that Huckabee will have any chance to stop McCain is simply irrational.

McCain
(Sung to ‘Cocaine’ by Eric Clapton)

If you gonna have doubt, you’ve got to take him out: McCain.
If you wanna Mex clown, to pound borders down: McCain.
Are you blind? It’s a crime; he’s no mind … McCain.

This guy’s bad news, you gotta pick n’ choose: McCain.
When the game is won, and you wanna rely on: McCain.
Are you blind? It’s a crime; he’s no mind … McCain.

If your man is gone; who you gonna vote on … McCain?
Don’t forget this fact: we won’t get ‘em back: McCain.
Are you blind? It’s a crime; he’s no mind … McCain.

Don’t forget his past. The country won’t last McCain.
Are you blind? It’s a crime; he’s no mind … McCain.

We at Gun Owners intend to be very engaged in Congressional and US Senate races.

Better late than never I suppose. It's not like the GOA has ever done anything so far.

Isn’t GOA headed by the man who worked on Pat Buchanan’s 1996 campaign? The same guy who ended up resigning because he was associated with white supremacists.

McCain supports gun rights and always has, Obama is already promising to do "everything necessary" to "end gun violence in America".

As for the fantasy of Huckabee still winning, knock yourselves out. If he wins the nomination I will happily vote for him. But when he doesn't, I will just as happily vote for McCain.

And if you stay home instead and help elect Obama, there won't be anything principled or conservative or intelligent or pro-gun about it. It will just be tomfoolery pique and useful idiocy for the socialist left.

I don’t care what the mainstream media thinks. I don’t care about historic analogies. I even don’t care for the GOP for that matter. I don’t vote for pretty faces, gender nor race. To my surprise still many don’t get the point. Every election is about PRINCIPLES.

Yes you vote for a person but based on your PRINCIPLES. I like all Americans have dreams, I like all have convictions, values and believes. I’ve always adhered to them, and I must say it makes it a lot easier to explain myself and yes the consequences are hard at times. Believe me I’ve had my share. Still I will not get distracted from mine just to get a GOP face in power. Most certainly I will NOT and I repeat NOT vote for McPain.

Better lose with your head up, than bow and trade off your PRINCIPLES. Obviously your principles don’t weigh that much anyway if you do so. Elections even presidential are not actions of gambling and probability to win. And to speak in these terms there’s even nothing on the table for me, so I’m not at all excited nor amused. Let me also be clear that loosing isn’t as bad as it seems once you are in the midst of a competition. It’s not about winning or loosing an election it’s about winning or loosing PRINCIPLES along the way.

Whatever the outcome of this presidential election neither side will last, since no candidate is elected on vested principles. On the one side a lot of people vote for a pretty face, race or gender, on the other for an opposition to the former or an opportunist at best. Neither has a fundament so the euphoria of any outcome will soon fade and turn to a call for something more substantive.

Therfore we have to stick to our ‘guns’ (Principles) or we will lose our face. The latter will be detrimental to future opportunities.

Saw McCain on Stephie’s show this morning and it was depressing. The man is running on one thing only, the surge and the Iraq War. You can tell he know nothing about the economy which is scary. He comes across as someone who graduated 5th from the bottom at Annapolis.

I personally will not cast a vote for the presidency -- that is, if McCain is the Republican nominee. Under no circumstances will I vote for either of the Democrats.

Ridiculous! A non-vote is the same as a vote for Obama or Hillary.

Richardson starts out telling us we have "plenty of choices" and then lists only Huckabee who has zero chance of defeating McCain in the primary, because many conservatives don't trust him either. What "other choices" do we have?

Even the 'thought' of voting for McCain makes me want to puke. I feel like it's giving him the key to my chicken house and he's the wolf, but IF we don't then we won't even have a chicken house left let alone any chickens, when Hillary or Obama gets into office. Suffice to say, I HATE John traitor McCain, but words can not describe how I feel about Hillary or Obama!

So, inspite of what Mr. Richardson said, HOW can we keep Hillary or Obama from being President if we don't vote for the MADMAN John McCain?

I dislike the man. I distrust the man.At this point I expect results of a McC election to be similar to election of one of the Democrats but delayed a few years. But I won’t say McCain, No Way! If he works hard at convincing us he has changed his ways and heart, perhaps he can convince himself. A revelation to him on illegal aliens would be enough to make his election mandatory.
