Ideology is country. Country is ideology. I personally don’t want an America that wants the 1st amendment shut down 60 days before an election; do you?
Exactly. That isn't the U.S.A.
Did you vote for Bush? He signed that provision into law. In that sense, GWB is more culpable for McCain/Feingold than either McCain or Feingold.
And GWB was McAmnesty's biggest cheerleader.
Frankly I don't see any difference between McCain and Bush. If Bush was running against Hillary or Obama, would you sit it out or crawl on your knees over a mile of broken glass to keep those commies out of the white house?
"Der Führer ist Deutschland. Deutschland ist der Führer"
FRiend, you have got some issues.
Don’t forget,by shutting down “issue adds” and the money that financed them,McCain/Feingold gave the Liberal MSM more power than ever—and just as they were being weakened by the conservative New Media.
As McCain planned, the Liberal MSM promoted him then either ignored or attacked his conservative opponents.
So his NYT endorsement and other liberal media smooches got him enough liberal and “independent” votes to defeat GOP conservatives, especially since conservative votes were being divided among much better candidates—candidates the MSN told us couldn’t win.
McCain has been planning this since his ignoble defeat in SC 2000.The downfall of conservative influence in America has been his desire all along—and he has done it.
When the MSN turns on him after he wins the nomination and conservatives write in Ronald Reagan as they vote this November,McCain will go to his political grave with a smile on his face for having gotten sweet revenge for that February Tuesday in SC 2000.
McCain has done more damage to conservatism and thus America, than any Democrat in history.
so if Fred Thompson was nominee you still wouldn’t vote for him in the general?
Personally I have a problem with the possibility of a President with the Name that sounds like O BOMB A .
I dont like McCains positions on a lot of things but with one son about to graduate from the Naval academy and another one a combat Marine veteran in Iraq there has to be some redeeming qualities there
No, I don't, BUT
#1, that's a rhetorical overstatement of what the (unconstitutional) McCain-Feingold law actually does, and,
#2, McCain's opponents are going to bring you an America where the first through tenth amendments, as well as Articles I-VII, do not exist AT ALL.
You have a defensible position that you wouldn't vote for McCain, because of his CFR legislation.
But to say you don't want America AS SHE IS TODAY, RIGHT NOW, and that you are willing to see her turned over to communists for destruction because you value her present condition so little is indefensible, IMO.
You shouldn't be on a discussion board - you should be at the range, practicing, for what you would call down on our heads.
