Hey, you hit on one of my true weaknesses. I do tend to “put my trust in man”. Always with egg on my face. I guess I’m always looking for heroes. Guess you are right... there is only One Hero, who hung on the cross for us 2000 years ago.
Don’t hate Rush. Just get all antsy when I listen to him... like worked up with no place to go. He taught me a lot. Right about how commies never make money. Right about so many things... but now, as he created Talk Radio as we know it, he has to reinvent himself as everyone else does what he does. Needs to clean up his personal act for one. I’m not denigrating him. Read his first books with relish and he really really educated me. (If you knew what I did for a living, you’d tell me I probably owe him a tithe.) But as iron sharpens iron, you sharpened me tonight.

I don't know about his personal life and no one else really knows either - they just think they know. There is a reason it's called personal - it doesn't and shouldn't be nosed into.
And why would anyone keep track of his personal life? For what reason? Ah, to see - to hope for - any semblance of their own life so they can feel like they are like him in some minor way. And then if they find something not to their liking - the darts come out, the tisk, tisk. Evil's venom abounds with 'he should's', he this, he that. Jealousy is like a cancer - it spreads. But Rush won't let the venom touch him - he knows hatred is evil. Maybe that's something else he can teach you.
