Good for him. Keep us advised on his progress. I know he will make us all proud. I’m proud of all our young baddasses. Hell, even the Pvt’s. :)

"Broken-glass Republicans are really disgusting. Paste a (R) behind Hillary's name and you would vote for her."

I couldn't agree with you more. Some of the posts on this thread make me want to vomit. I AM glad, however, that many people have realized what is going on, and have said "Enough!" instead of getting suckered into moving the party more and more to the left, and being willing participants in the destruction of the GOP and conservatism, due to fearmongering.

In my opinion McCain is not mentally stable enough to hold the office of the commander and Chief. I find it rather scary the Republican party is over looking this seemingly obvious point.

...but time has come to rally around the Person who will represent your party.

No, sadly, the time has come to rally around the party who will represent me. THis time around, neither the Republicans nor the democrats are close. McCain was my sixth choice, (Rudy was number seven). Flogging people with an only marginally greater evil really loses something. You need more degrees of separation between the two parties for it to really seem relevant.

Not voting in the general election is a vote for the dems.

Not paying Peter does not make Paul rich. Not voting in the general is just that--not voting. It is NOT voting for someone else. SHeesh!

Perfect candidate? How about one of my top three? four? five? Uh-uh. Not this time.

Our vote is not for us only, it is for our country and we must make the best vote

Studying the results of past compromises, namely the inexorable shift of the Republican Party to the left, and the stripping of key issues from the platform, the result of voting for the lesser evil all this time has been, unsurprisingly, evil. Just at a slower pace. Only the refusal to continue tacit support to this process has a prayer of reversing it. Thus, I may well vote for "none of the above", in the interest of my country. Voting for a candidate who only embraces 20% of what I consider to be proper stances on salient issues is not a winning proposition for me, nor, I feel for may country.

We need everyone to get out and vote. We need the highest GOP turnout in history.

For a year on this forum and elsewhere, Conservatives have been telling anyone who would listen that they would not vote for a liberal. Y'all wouldn't want us to lie, now, would you?

It is NOT voting for someone else.

Of course it is. I and my wife vote for Bush. Bush wins by one vote. We don't vote, Bush loses by one vote to Gore. Not voting resulted a Gore win, same result as if we had voted for him.

You’re assuming we have only three choices. Dem, Rep., or none.

I’m waiting for more choices to emerge. In any case, I don’t vote for liberals.

Paste a (R) behind Hillary's name and you would vote for her.

Why do you have to lie about me? A number of folks on this thread can't disagree and state their reasons, they have to make up things about people they disagree with. That is not an impressive way to carry on a discussion. Or maybe we can only discuss things we agree on?

So you are going to let a person who embraces 0% of the proper stances win by not voting or voting for a person who is going to lose? As far as lying about your vote, aren't you allowed to change your mind?

“I will not vote for McAmnesty.”

If you tour the White House next summer, say “Hi” to Obama next summer. And keep off the small rugs...they’re prayer rugs for the staff.

Nothing I hate more than this nonsense. You can say that all you want but that will not convince anybody but moreso will probably piss them off and seriously not vote for McInsane.

Please do not stick my sons with an Obama Commander in Chief or a Hillary Commander in Chief.

I am in the military and I don’t hear much pleasure in John McCain here either. Most are disgusted by him especially Naval Academy grads.
