Fred Thompson Endorses McCain:
“This is no longer about past preferences or differences. It is about what is best for our country and for me that means that Republican should close ranks behind John McCain,” Thompson said in a statement reported by the Associated Press.”

I agree, that's hardly a ringing endorsement. But it isn't a "keep fighting, Huckabee, to stop John McCain" either.

Yeah, read the link that I posted...it was posted by the AP, but nobody’s posted a full statement and nobody has confirmed this at all. Everyone who wrote about it took it from the AP article that only had the one quote in it.

In MittWorld, that would mean that Mitt could move mountains using only his staunch conservatism. In the real world, we should at least question it a LITTLE bit before we go saying that it actually happened.

I’d love to see the actual statement, for instance. I guess I’m just a stickler like that...
