Republican State Rep. and candidate for the March 11th Special Election Jon Elrod and Libertarian candidate Sean Shepard spoke at a community forum in front of about 50 voters. Meanwhile, Democrat candidate Andre Carson who previously RSVP'd his appearance called about 2 hours prior to the event to claim he had a scheduling conflict.

The Farakkhan supported Andre Carson thinks he has this race in the bag, he can blow off community events like this one. Let's show him on March 11th a Congressman who will listen to ALL the people and not just those in their immediate circle.

He is certain that the family name and his grandmother’s name recognition will sweep him into office. Alas, he’s probably right, because the people in his district just aren’t into politics that much. My guess is that his district has one of the lower voting turn outs in the city and when they do vote, they likely just look for a name they recognize. Man...would I like to see a current events test required for people who vote.

We’re worried in Virginia because Mark Warner is running as a democrat to replace John Warner, the republican, and we think a lot of people are going to vote for him because they think he is the incumbent.
