However, we don’t have to go quietly, do we?
Besides, we may be able to hinder, slow them slightly here and there.
At least we can make some onlookers think a little bit.

At the weekly anti-war demonstration in front of Walter Reed, the DC Chapter has succeeded in whittling the CodePink demonstrators down to only a handful of their paid subversives, we have driven them away from the main gates to a darker and less prominent area of the street, we made them tame their horrible signs, they stopped bringing defaced flags and now fly the American flag to try to look more acceptable, and finally they have almost totally stopped showing up, leaving their permit area to a group of around 7 stragglers, two of whom receive support from a Local affiliate of AFL-CIO to stand out there with "Bring Them Home Now" signs -- decidedly less disruptive than CodePink's original signage like "Murderer" and "Enlist Here to Die for Halliburton" that they started out with.
DC Chapter's presence and pressure brought mentions from Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Melanie Morgan, Michelle Malkin, Diana Irey, dozens of Gold Star and Blue Star parents and hundreds of bloggers, both here and in Iraq. Soldiers have repeatedly thanked us for standing out there in all weather to counter the ugly America-haters, and motorists overwhelmingly beep in favor of our counterdemonstration, not CodePink's dirty-girl hate-fest.
Never give up, FReepers; it takes time, but it's worth it to counter evil and repudiate sedition in wartime, even when our so-called "Republican" administration apparently will not prosecute domestic treason.
