If a code pink hippie hits you repeatedly with their sign, aren’t you allowed to smack them in the chops? It would seem to me an excellent course of action. And it would feel good too.

Then the police would, in order to remain “neutral”, arrest YOU for assault and battery while the pinko proceeded to hit someone else repeatedly with their sign.
I’d think a really good foot stomp would be better. Then, when they look down you can give them a short uppercut to the chin while using their sign as cover so no one sees you do it. I am subtle, but effective.
