John McCain funded by Soros since 2001

Candidate's Reform Institute also accepted funds from Teresa Kerry

As Sen. John McCain assumes the GOP front-runner mantle, his long-standing, but little-noticed association with left-wing donors such as George Soros and Teresa Heinz Kerry is receiving new attention among his Republican critics.

In 2001, McCain founded the Alexandria, Va.-based Reform Institute as a vehicle to receive funding from George Soros' Open Society Institute and Teresa Heinz Kerry's Tides Foundation and several other prominent non-profit organizations.

McCain used the institute to promote his political agenda and provide compensation to key campaign operatives between elections.

In 2006, the Arizona senator was forced to sever his formal ties with the Reform Institute after a controversial $200,000 contribution from Cablevision came to light. McCain solicited the donation for the Reform Institute using his membership on the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. In a letter to the Federal Communications Commission, he supported Cablevision's push to introduce the more profitable al la carte pricing, rather than packages of TV programming.

"I should have seen this coming, environmental restorative justice."

"I think you've got it! With a little extra help from left wingers (R)."

Oh, AND with our tax dollars and our supplication.

No. That earlier thread authored by Richard Poe posted in 2005, I think you pinged me to it. I thought it definitely needed to be bumped to the top and I pinged the chapter.

I can't find THAT particular thread anymore. I think it was pulled because there was a mix-up about who was the original author. It was credited to someone else - not Poe.

But I basically take it for granted that McCain is in bed with all the usual suspects.

Thanks for pinging me, though!

Original Richard Poe thread, March 2005

Don’t shoot the messenger.

The information was disclosed here.

Donations under $200 don’t have to be accounted for.

"I read that Soros gives money to “moderate” Republicans."

Arlen Specter and all the liberal R's who get campaign donations from "The Main Street Republicans." The last time Specter ran in '04, he demanded to be given time on Quinn and Rose to plead his case to conservatives. Quinn was very polite and let him ramble on and then asked him a couple of nothing questions which he was only too pleased to answer. Then Quinn asked him about the $ he gets from Soros. He denied it, and when Quinn read the listing off the web page to him, he got mad, denied it, said he didn't know anything about it, would have to check on it, then hung up on Quinn. LOL!

It just get more and more depressing. Now we find out McCain is bought and paid for by Soros. This explains a lot of the positions he has adopted since being defeated by GW.

“LOL! What is the difference? The fact that our globablist “leaders” decided to insert their influence in the ME by placing military bases there does not absolve them from blame.”

The difference being OBL represents no nation. We have permission for our bases to be there.

Yes, let’s capitulate to every whacko splinter group out there! Brilliant.

“FYI: We, or me, or even Ron Paul is not trying to justify anything.”

bs

It is absolutely a justification. Paul literally said, ‘we shouldn’t have been over there’....I say hogwash.

The implication is “if only we hadn’t been involved”. FYI, we are involved. After 9/11, ignoring the region became impossible.

It’s no wonder Ron Paul received so much funding, yet never registered more than 10% in the polls.

So, as we all suspected, George Soros owns the GOP’s ‘crown prince.’ How shockingly unsurprizing.

And all the McSwine backers here were accusing Ron Paul of being backed by Soros (just like the klintons; accuse others of doing exactly what you are doing)

"Remember, we're talking about WND/Corsi here."

Really! How dare the internet's only honest, objective news source print the truth about an establishment thug.

This could be disastrous, it could cost McSlime the presidency, just like when WND crushed Al Gore in Tennessee, and got George Bush elected in 2000.

When will this nightmare end?

8 years, 8 long miserable years, my friend.

But are we just going to sit on our butts and whine or do something about it? Newt said it right: We have to organize, build grass roots organizations, again, like we did in the 80s and 90s. We have to build and maintain a presence as an influential force in our local areas first.

that also means you have to pick your battles. My focus will be education. My targets will be dumbed down curricula, the most extreme of the liberal teachers, and the development of a public school curricula that is truly excellent.

"I hate to see a Republican presidential candidate being mentioned in the same sentence with Soros"

Don't worry, it's not a Republican, it's McSlime, the Dummacrap shill being pushed by the other RINO shills at the RNC.

Genius my a$$. He's just one of them; always has been.

I think you can put Giuliani in with the other candidate names, but that’s only a rumor. Supposedly from his business dealings.

This faux consensus model seems to be in play on just about every liberal cause, too.

Google the following two words (or phrases):

Diaprax

Delphi Technique

That is what is being done to the American People. Not just by the left either, rather by anyone with an agenda. Their worst nightmare is somebody who won't participate in "the process".

How about, “The Silver Spoon: Daddy Warbucks Lists to Port”?

Ever hear of Cecil Rhodes? Rhodes Scolarship Foundation? (Bill Clinton?)

The big money guys have always been socialists.

"I am skeptical of this article."

Are you also skeptical of the other 99 links going back years connecting McCain to Soros, Lewis, Heinz, etc.? How about the Keating 5? Skeptical on that one too? Just asking...

I’ve read about Delphi before.

Heck... I see it being applied here, almost daily. ;-)

It has definitely infested both sides of the ideological spectrum.

"How dare the internet's only honest, objective news source...."

Hilarious.

Actually, I'm glad they did publish it. Point is, don't get your hopes up about the story getting much run.

And btw, Cybercast News is both honest and objective, as are a few other internet sources.
