And a lot of us conservatives don't believe a word of what he says about closing the border. McAmnesty is more than likely, if he gets elected, going to fall back on "The Democrats won't let me do it" excuse when it comes to fencing the border. That is his MO and his history.

I know some McCain insiders, and when this run began, they and he truly had NO idea of the wrath this country has about this illegal immigration, and are obviously too slow to catch on. Either that or they were playing dumb to secure more Hispanic votes where needed. It is / will be THE defining issue of this election.
