We will be back, but just not until the voting public gets another lesson in liberal economics.
There’s good reason that G W and senior Bush bought adjoining ranches in Paraguay.
I’m sure somebody somewhere has pointed this out but McCain will be our first nominee, at least in a generation, to get a minority of the GOP vote and become the nominee.
McCain has STILL yet to win more than 50% of the GOP vote (maybe he did it in a single state, once. Not FL, not SC, not NH).
Who is going to take responsibility for a primary system where a nominee can be extracted by a minority of the party? Sounds like we need some serious overhaul at this years convention.
Well, as bad as this is, just remember that parties die, but ideas and values don’t.
1974 was a dark year for the Republican Party. It would have been easy to write the party’s obituary back then.
This ain’t 1974. Back then, there was still a large block of conservative Democrats in Congress to put the brakes on liberal excesses. And there weren’t millions of criminal invaders inside our borders, about to be given amnesty, which will boost the Democrat voting ranks enormously.
