Clint Eastwood: Ann Coulter, others, 'masochistic'

Clint Eastwood, actor, producer and himself a smalltown mayor, sees a sense of masochism in the Republicans who say they cannot support John McCain's bid for the White House.
In an interview with FOX Business Network’s Neil Cavuto live from Pebble Beach, Calif., at the site of the AT&T National Pro-Am Golf Tournament aired this evening, Eastwood talks politics.
Eastwood has this to say about Ann Coulter’s claim that she would vote for Hillary Clinton over John McCain: "Conservatives, often times, are very masochistic. They say, 'I’d rather not show up than have so-and-so. If it’s not my guy then I won’t show up’. You can’t be that way.”

I taken a firm resolution never again to see a film written or directed by Clint Eastwood. For the director of “Million Dollar Baby” to lecture other people on “masochism” is rich in irony. Clint is a bigger phony than even Juan McAmnesty.

It is possible, I’m not entirely convinced, but it is possible that a Democrat in the White House could be the best thing to happen in the War on Terror (other than having a competent non-liberal politician, of course). Why do Democrats hate the war in Iraq? Because a Republican is in the White House. There is no other reason. Liberals think with emotion, not logic. If Bill Clinton or Al Gore would have gone to war with Iraq in 2003 (and stayed with it like George Bush has done) it would now be considered a selfless heroic act to liberate an oppressed people. Of course, there is always the possibility Hillary would intentionally lose the war for political points. Just saying it’s possible it may not be a complete disaster.
Clint Eastwood is still my favorite actor, by the way.

Because they're not intentionally trying to destroy our country. Most of them love America, and they're doing what they think is right for America. It's our job to show them the errors in their thinking.
