England needs another Oliver Cromwell and another Thomas Cromwell and fast.

Actually Queen Mary Tudor knew exactly what to do with an Archbishop of this kind (just ask Thomas Cranmer).

“some of its citizens do not relate to the British legal system.”

That is always the case. They are called “criminals.”

What the hell’s the matter with Anglican clergy?

I think you'll have to go back to the formation of the Church of England to find your answers.

Perhaps lack of belief in God.

“...it goes back to Chesterton’s statement: that when people stop believing in God, the problem isn’t that they believe in nothing, it’s that they’ll believe anything. And that’s what you constantly see with people who don’t believe in God”.

I very much admire the English of the early 20th century, but the present day English better find their ba!!s and wake up.

What the hell’s the matter with Anglican clergy?

....And the Catholic clergy?.....and the Episcopalian Clergy?

The devil is on the march, and he's winning across the world.

The good archbishop is a greater contortionist than Houdini was. His lordship can put his head up his *** with a mitre still on — and still converse freely, though not necessarily intellegently.

Where does the Anglican Church find these morons..

Not sure but I think it's a requirement to become a Bishop in the UK or US church. I'm embarrassed to say I'm an Epicopalian too.

The Archbishop of Canterbury is a disgrace.

Rush Limbaugh discussed him on his show of December 20, 2007, about his claim that the nativity is 'a legend'.

not just the Anglican clergy

the antiwar protesters from the 60’s-70’s have infiltrated and taken over our universities, the Democrat Party, the bureaucracies, and many other institutions including church leadership.

The exception is the Normans.

The Brits fought the Normans for all they were worth. The Normans ended up winning in the end, but not after a lot of blood was spilled.

I also forgot to mention the Gauls and the Saxons. Fact is, a lot of cultures have left their stamp on Albion. It would be a great loss to civilization if the final imprimatur came from a bunch of towel-clad savages.

The Normans and Vikings won. Most Americans don’t know there was a Viking dynasty that ruled England. King Canute is probably the most famous king of that dynasty. He ruled England, Denmark and Norway.

Also, the Britons lost to the English (Angles and Saxons). So England was successfully invaded by the English, Vikings and Normans. Scotland was invaded by the Irish and English. Ireland was invaded by the Vikings (they founded Dublin) and the English.

Please say this is satire. Because it sure reads like it.

“Anglican Archbishop of Canterbury supports adoption of Shar-ia law into British system.”

It just sounds like a joke by Scrappleface or AZ Conservative.

I read the first part of this article on the Drudge Report. My thought was to wonder if this fool actually thinks before he speaks.

Somehow, I can’t picture your average Brit calmly accepting a neighbor who stones to death a daughter because he feels she has disgraced the family.
