She is quite attractive.

Her name is Graciela Beltran and she was at the White House in May of 2006, actually.

I’m at CPAC right now and can assure you that the majority of those in that room are not bused-in McCain supporters but folks who waited quite some time in security lines to watch this.

So what is the truth? Have McCain's supporters been bused in or not?

Did you hear the crowd’s reaction to the words “illegal aliens?”

Just think how much money we will save when he completely stops enforcing the immigration laws on the border.
Not to mention those pesky and costly raids at factories, packing houses, corporate mega-farms, etc.

We won't need all those expensive Border Guards and ICE field agents so he can cut ICE down to just a few lying bureaucrats and an answering machine.

.

Let’s try it this way ~ maybe you can understand ~ whether or not McCain is a Conservative we know, in fact, in his involvement in the Amnesty Bill, that he does not oppose the creation of a permanent underclass in America. He is, in fact, NOT REPUBLICAN, and should not have been allowed to run under that label.

You are right. McInsane should be defeated at all costs. I do not want any blow-back coming back on us when he stabs conservatives in the back for the 600th time.

“I wouldn’t follow my own chosen candidate (Also a fine conservative) to vote for Huckabee...”

Why not?
I looked into Duncan Hunter’s stated (and unstated) reasons for supporting Huckabee. The reasons are valid.

Wow. 1,000 supporters out of 6,000 CPAC attendees! As I've said, the majority of folks here are true conservatives, many of whom, like me, supported Romney.

Are you saying that supporters of a candidate have no right to canvass at a political conference?

Exactly. He's got 6 months to be in the Senate, starting fights with one Democrat after another over half a dozen issues he's completely F'ed up in the past. I don't care what he SAYS, anytime, or anywhere.

I've watched what he's DONE over the past decade. If I don't see him do a 180 on several of his past actions, he's unlikely to get my support.

CPAC just made a mockery of all conservatives....

Yep, they abandoned their principles today.

One thing we all know, we always knew. The attacks on McCain began the minute his butt huggin speech ended.

We done been had. Now we are stuck with this silly old man who we all despise.

Defend him? Not me. We knew better.

“I’m not accusing anyone of anything. Of course McCain had an entourage there but the overwhelming majority of GOPAC attendees got their tickets many months ago, way before McCain was the frontrunner and those folks were in the room for the speech.”

We’ll probably get some reports from actual attendees over the next day or two. But there were only a hundred or so making all the noise. You could almost hear the same few voices over and over, cheering pretty loudly.l

At this point, Huck is the only “maybe” on my list. Unfortunately McCain is the one who gets to lose to the democrats.

Well then...CPAC has a problem.

If they cannot stand on their own principles and remember what McCain has done to conservatives the last 10 years, then they will all be hoisted on their own petard.

Winning is important, but it's not everything, and there are limits to what I will accept.

I will not accept the third inyourface candidate foisted on me my party. Ford and Dole were nose-holding bad, but this guy takes the cake. I ain't playin.....

I think it’s time some people on FR grew up. McCain is going to be the nominee, at this point it’s a better strategy to work with him on the issues we agree and vigorously debate him on the ones we don’t.

At this point I have to agree with you, Bob. If somehow there arose a strong third party movement that gave some promise of reshaping the political landscape, I could see throwing in with that.

But for now it looks like McCain or the Democrats ... and those saying there's no difference are speaking out of raw emotion not the careful consideration of facts.
