We faced “reality” by supporting Bush and what did we get? Even bigger government. The only thing he is right on is the jihad declared on us, and even then his strategy and tactics have been wrong and costly. Another 4 years of error? I think not. Let’s sit this one out on the presidential level and vote for the DeMints of the world. The top of the ticket is not the only ticket. Let McCain lose. Give the US its Indira Gandhi and we will never go socialist again.

You got a tax cut, 7 years of economic growth including weathering a stock market crash, a recession, and the war without faltering, 2 supreme court justices, the lasting respect and gratitude of a (modest) portion of 60 million human beings freed from ruthless tyrants, and stalwart support for our men in the field.

Was Bush frequently ill advised on strategy? Sure. Men he respected told him that Iraq could be done on the cheap. Others doubted that and said "go large" - McCain among them, myself among them, the Army chief of staff among them. He didn't until recently, and that less than half the amount advised, but it has made a serious difference on the ground.

All the defeats have been political. And the blame for those falls at least as heavily on those who attacked their president in time of war seeking political gain from the country's failure.

And sorry, you can't prevent another 4 years of error by sitting this one out.
