The Fair Tax is the most ‘conservative’ idea anyone has talked about this whole election, because the IRS, that administers the income tax / withholding, is the most oppressive, intrusive, socialist institution in our country.
Huckabee is an ardent, articulate supporter of the Fair Tax, and I believe he really “gets it”. It is the best hope on the horizon for giving power back to the people, and waking people up to the stranglehold the current tax system has on the people and the economy.
Right now McCain’s just ahead because of name recognition for most voters, and, up to now, splitting the conservative vote in the informed voters who are paying attention.
When most people get to know Mike Huckabee, they like him, and likeability is something we will really need in the fall, against either Hillary or Obama, or a ticket with both on it.
