No, the math proves me right. Romney can't win southern states and there are more than 300 delegates from southern states in play.

Every poll shows Huckabee voters more likely to vote for McCain if Huckabee weren't in the race.

Romney is finished in either a two or three-man race.

Why you can't grasp the fact that a large percentage of conservatives will never, ever for Willard is mind boggling.

“Romney is finished in either a two or three-man race”

Well if finishing in 2nd place in total Delegate count is finished then I guess he and HuckaB are both finished.
Romney will wind it down and take his Delegates (more than Romney) to the Convention and then hand them over to McCain as the statesman. That contrast will be remembered vis-avis the WV back room deal. All’s fair in politics and we’ll see how the Hucksters like that deal lol.

Romney has a brain and he’s playing for 2012 now. HuckaB will get shoved aside by the establishment as soon as possible. He is useless to the Party now as are his Big Government one issue voters.

'Fraid Ol' Sparky is correct, MNJohnnie. Pro-Mitt Hugh Hewitt is having a guest on his program who is confirming that there's only 3 winner-take-all states left (Virginia, Vermont & DC)...Not an overwhelming # of delegates in either VT or DC. He said media reports had McCain with almost 700 delegates and Romney only about 280. Huckabee, I think he said, at about 176. He said McCain massacred Romney in California because CA assigns 3 delegates per district + state winner gets 11 xtra (170 total). Romney won only 2 districts in CA--despite their campaign folks thinking they could take up to 2/3rds going in...Right now, apparently 2 other CA districts still too close to call. Still Romney is only going to get 6-12 delegates in CA; McCain will get 158-164.

Romney could only outdelegate McCain in his home MA state by a 22-18 margin. What does that say?
