Or finally score with that certain girl from high school. Your aims may be a little loftier than mine, of course. ;)

There is a school of thought, which I read the explanations for, and they made sense in their own way but it's been too long for me to recreate the arguemnts, anyway, IF you had the energy and means to send something back in time, IF that was the case, you couldn't go further back than the time in which the machine was first assembled. I dunno, made sense at the time....

Actually, the calibration was off a little, and they already came and left.
Maybe next time.

“The debut in early summer could provide a landmark because travelling into the past is only possible - if it is possible at all - as far back as the point of creation of the first time machine.”
It’s going to be boring to test drive this thing.
A real version “Groundhog Day?”

Time travel is not possible back beyond the invention of the first time machine. So, if you “invent” time machine, you cannot go back, only forward. Thus any future time machines cannot go back beyond the first operational time machine’s time..........

I had the same question. Is it the same a Star Trek where contact with worlds that were not warp capable was forbidden - so if we turn the collider on are we then available for “first contact”?

I don’t know how long they’ll be here, but we should get some extra TP. They’re probably tired of using the three sea shells.

“....they can do strange things to the fabric of the universe, which is a blend of space and time that scientists called spacetime.”
Sometimes them scientific types can really nail a name.

Time travel was born when Albert Einstein's colleague, Kurt Gödel, used Einstein's theory of relativity to show that travel into the past was possible.Somebody wake up H.G. Wells and tell him.
