Fold The Tent Conservatives
The Bulletin ^ | 02/06/2008 | Michael P. Tremoglie

If Limbaugh, Dobson and the rest are not going to vote Republican because they might not like Republican nominee does this mean they are going to move out of the country if and when Hillary/Obama are elected - like Alec Baldwin promised to do when Bush was elected?

Maybe if McCain realizes that the Conservatives are really, really not going to support him, the party might start paying attention.

I’m not prepared to say what I’m going to do in November. I consider McCain to be equal to Hillary and Obama in unacceptability. However, the President is only one player. We need to elect Conservative Senators and Congresscritters as well as work to elect Conservatives at the grassroots level. If we have an acceptable Congress, we could fend off the nuttiness of a Hillary healthcare plan or something stupid the Kennedys make Obama do. It would be harder to fight off a “Republican” president’s nuttiness with a Republican Congress. Just pray we don’t get a liberal Congress.

Anyone heard about an LP or other 3rd party candidate that would be more acceptable to a conservative?

It looks like the libs win this round, be it with Clinton, Obama, or McCain. So be it! Regroup and fight again. Conservatives don't threaten to leave the country when the going is tough, thats a crybaby liberal thing to do.

I imagine you will find that Washington folded his tent from time to time, so he could move on to the next battleground.

LOL!

Good point!

I guess we will move from battle to battle, but never from the war!!

“kicking the chess board over”

Great metaphor. I wish I would have thought of it. My brother-in-law always did that when we played and I won - which was 99.9999% of the time.

Now if you really want to get insulting - like I told one of your brethren the other day - I can get down in the dirt with any loudmouth nitwit. I used to be a cop in a crime ridden section of Philadelphia so I can take it AND dish it out.

Guess what I call you Mr. Tremoglie:

RepublicBOTS: Compromisers that don’t like the fact that some are (as is the American tradition) Constituted a “Declaration of Independence” from the Republican Party (at least on the Presidential level)..

The difference is that Baldwin SAID he would move out of the country if Bush won, but STAYED. I don’t think Rush or Dobson ever said they would leave....

Go ahead and stay home, you sunshine patriots!

Yep! Hurry, hurry, step right up!

Elect McCain, the Amazing RINO!

Republicans in Congress will vote Party lines or be tossed next election!

Democrats will get all they want and more in the name of "bipartisanship"!

Wait, whoa, put on the brakes. At least the 'pubbies in the Cong will put up some token resistance to a Dem White House, won't they?

James Dobson, the influential founder of the conservative, evangelical advocacy group Focus on the Family, has delivered a blow to John McCain — by saying he won’t vote for him if he’s the Republican presidential nominee.
