Look at his past posts. He’s a real gem.

William... I guess my recommendation that you take a break and stop acting childish fell on deaf ears. Oh well. Enjoy your thread.

I guess Reagan was a RINO for supporting Gerald Ford in '76 after Ford won the nomination, correct?

The operative clause being "after the nomination". Reagan didn't support a RINO DURING the nominating process.

Of course, Ford wasn't anywhere near as bad as Ritalin John anywise, so your "argument" comes very near to being an apples and oranges comparison.

it’s the “waah! you won’t support my choice for president so you must be a traitor like alec baldwin” group of republicans

The very same people (RINOs) that derived their wealth and power from piggybacking on the energy and efforts of conservatives.

Those days are over with, do you hear me: Fox News, Mike Gallagher, Fred Barnes, etc.?

Come on back and let’s play our wretched poker hand by putting up a good poker face!

You can only bluff when the other player doesn't know what's in your hand.

The other player KNOWS what is in the GOPs hand. Democrat LiteTM.

If we had someone in reserve that could be counted on to uphold a conservative outlook it night be different but with the current crop and no reserve, don't bluff when you don't have a chance because the other guy DOES know what you have.

In the long run it will be better for the Republican Party and the nation to have McCain lose this one, and let all the blame for the disaster that will be either Hillary or Obama as President, instead of a RINO McCain administration that will enact everything the Left wants in it’s “outreach” and “bipartisan” RINOism while placing the blame on the GOP. In 4 years if the party has learned a lesson, I’ll be back. If not, well, living well is the best revenge.

While right now it looks as though McCain has the best shot at the nomination, it ain’t over til it’s over. A lot can happen between now and the convention....

True, though it doesn't look good.

My stance exactly. My conservatism has NEVER changed. I;m not leaving the Republican party ... they chose to leave me.

I will support select individual Republican candidates with my dollars and my efforts. I will no longer blindly fund county, state and the natl republican party. The republican party of Ohio has given us Ohioan so many RINO’s that they forgot what conservatism is. No more blind assistance.

I will continue to vote for select conservatives in all races. I WILL leave democrat McClame’s box blank as will I ignore the other democrat challenger as well.

So what if Hillary can't get over 49%? That's plenty to get the nomination, and plenty to go on to the White House.

The RINOs are counting on Hillary-Fear to get them across the line, and I say that's not good enough.

I don't believe you should go around declaring FReepers "fools," but whatever you want to say, it's a free country. I don't feel like a fool, just a bit used by the likes of Rudy McRomney.

This is what the leftists have wanted us to do for the last three decades - for conservatives to just up and walk away like the morons they think we are...

Like h*ll.

Now the propaganda will really start to flow - for the leftist trolls to come out of the woodwork and start encouraging “conservatives” to become an “entity” and walk away from the party. It’s the only chance they have of winning against us; and let’s be honest - the Left can’t win without us.

So... a “true conservative” will vote - with the lever or his feet - for a leftist, just so he can feel all powerful and good inside? For how long?

Just long enough for the leftists to come and take our guns, take your property, and kill our constitution...

Like h*ll.

Do what they will, but I won’t join these so called “true conservatives” on their fool’s errand, to become the left’s useful idiots. Look at their arguments, and listen to what is REALLY being said -

-”We want power”
-”We want a candidate that isn’t running or doesn’t exist”
-”We want Reagan”
-”We want recognition”

Here’s a clue: Obama or Hillary D*MN sure won’t give these”true conservatives” anything - plus these so-called “true conservatives” will never get that power back once they give it to the Left. Obama or Hillary won’t give them power, Obama or Hillary won’t give them their fantasy candidate, Obama or Hillary won’t give them Reagan, or anything he stood for...

But the Left WILL give these “true conservatives” recognition for giving the Left the election - right before they come to take everything else away from these “true conservatives” and give to their constituents, the “true leftists”.

Like h*ll.

To those who doubt my “conservative zeal”, I say this: I remember when Goldwater was vilified by the press. I wept when Reagan lost the 1976 Republican nomination in a floor fight. I voted for Reagan not once, but twice, in National Elections, and I warned my fellow “conservatives” not to give the election to Clinton by casting their “protest vote” against Bush in the 1992 election. I fought like a tiger during the Clinton years just to hope that another fair election would ever occur. I’ve protested for the TRUE Right, starved for the right-to-life, sent my child off to Iraq to fight, and given my time to the Boy Scouts. I will challenge any of these “true conservatives” who are claiming that they will vote for leftists - with their feet or with the lever - to go toe to toe with me and see if they can honestly say that I am not a TRUE American, and one who loves my country. And nothing means more to me than that Constitution and Rights upon which the Left - and these “true conservatives” - wish to wipe their feet and claim victory.

To these supposed “true conservatives” who swear they will give over power to the Left to “teach” the country who’s really in charge of the Republican Party, I say: YOU are the ones destroying the party; you who claim that you’ll leave because you didn’t get what you want, crying like babies. You have never been through the fire, and yet you claim you are the “true conservatives” and that “true conservatives” should give this country over to it’s enemies to “prove a point”...

To those of you who call yourself “true conservatives” who help to elect Leftists only because you want “power” for yourselves, your point will be this: you are traitors and weaklings, cowards and fools of use only to those who hate America.

To these “true cowering conservatives” I say: Leave. Go. I won’t go with you just so you can feel “powerful”. I won’t give up my rights, I won’t give up my guns, I won’t give up the idea that there is a better way than GIVING UP AND GETTING OUT.

Should these “true conservatives” succeed, they’ll merely sit in the pool they pee’d in all by themselves, sans any of the rights the Founders gave to those who were willing to fight for them. But we all shall suffer for what they have done - to walk away and give up the Republic.

On election day, I will do my d*mndest to stop these false prophets of “true conservativism” and everything they stand for - because they stand for nothing except themselves.

The real “true conservatives” need to get back to work and get busy trying to save this country before the false conservatives hand it over to the enemy...

Will we let them?

Like h*ll!

A glimmer of hope for REAL CONSERVATIVES (i.e., not Republicans)

The American Conservative Party is looking for members.

Seems like I read this GOP giddyup speech before...Oh yeah, 2000 and 2004. Yep, old Jorge and Juan want to ride the conservative power horse into victory again, then sell us out at the first politically convenient opportunity. Not this time. Let the country club membership figure out how to cross the finish line on their own two feet.

they’d be sitting out the next 20 years of Supreme Court decisions. Not a good ploy at all!

That is so Bogus! McCain has never given any indication that he would appoint true conservative judges to the court. Quite the opposite. He says Alito is too conservative. Sandra Day O'connor was his favorite. He has complained about conservative judges in the past.He is an odds on favorite to appoint another Souter. Then what? Are Republicans going to be able to oppose his selections?

McCain is a now win choice. He's like your brother joining the other team. How are you going to fight back?

> It will prevail when He returns.

If Christ returned tomorrow for the Second Coming, the McCain/RINO mindset would probably say that He should reach across the aisle to Satan and find common ground with the damned.

Look at this and tell us what you see:

Yep, Snowe, Clinton, Grahamnesty, and McCain all together in Alaska making noise about AGW, just a few years ago.

They seem to work so well together. So let 'em.

But they'll do it without my vote.

There are lots of Republicans who need our votes and donations.

I don't know yet who I'm voting for President. Maybe a third-party will emerge. But I will put no vote or support for McCain or the elites who are behind this fiasco.

As for as the GOP presidential primary is concerned, I regard myself as disenfranchised. Have been disenfranchised, I will not vote for the GOP candidate in the general presidential election.

My loyalty is to the republic, not the republican party. There is absolutely nothing McCain could McCain say or do in the next nine months to make this conservative believe that he is a changed man and would somehow govern against his record.
