1. A brokered convention is becoming less and less likely.

2. Cheney has made it apparent through his words and deeds that he does not want the job.

3. Cheney is probably the only Republican less popular than Bush right now. He would lose in a landslide.

So he’s lose.

So will McCain, Romney, or Huckabee.

But at least the GOP would be represented by a conservative and have one to vote for.

But is not the GOP holding on to conservatism the whole radio/blogosphere argument?

Ah, hell. it’s academic anyhow.

He’ll use William Tecumseh Sherman’s quote: “If nominated, I will not accept; if drafted, I will not run; if elected, I will not serve.”
