Cheney's day has come and gone. He would stand zero chance of getting elected, even against Hillary, because of all the invective and nasty lies that have been hurled against him over the past 7 years.

If you want to draft someone, draft a younger Conservative like Rick Santorum or Michael Steele.

Do you think CHeney cares if the MSM is rough on him?

Should any candidate care if they’re gonna be rough on them?

That’s a given.

The GOP needs to get rid of the existing primary process. Liberals in Iowa and New Hampshire are deciding for the rest of us which candidates we get to choose from.

I want to see a single national primary day, preferably in April or May, with the Convention as it is now, in August/Sept.

If a single day is too much, how about a primary week? M-F, 10 states a day. Or if IA and NH still want to feel special, let them go on Saturday and Sunday, and the rest take M-F. That way, every candidate is still in the race for every state.

And restrict the primaries to Registered Republicans only.

And award delegates based on their proportion of the vote total, or by Congressional district.

Brokered convention is not going to happen. McCain has the upper hand. He is the nominee we have to deal with- though I can’t imagine HOW we will.

Dick Cheney would not be electable in a general election- he is more hated (if possible) by Dems than the president- he would be a great unifier for the Dems to run against.

You’ll be happy to know that “Fair Vote” will be introduced at the convention. It is sorely needed! What a fluke of history this whole process has been.

McCain 2008 — who knew.

What exactly is being introduced at the convention. "Fair Vote" doesn't mean a lot. Where can I read about what is being brought up?

Thanks!

Nah, Cheney is too old and his health is too bad. Besides, he doesn't want it.

Draft someone who does want it, like Hunter.

The only thing less important in an election is the selection of the VP.

Except when the president is 70+ with past health issues.
