Someone wake me from this nightmare. Let’s see what the RINO says, but I’m not holding my breath. I’m looking for the complete capitulation of his immigration stance, a reversal of his current view on the Bush tax cuts, and an assertion to appoint strict constructionist judges. Only then, maybe, maybe will I hold my nose and pull the lever for him.

If McCain fails to “reach across the aisle” to the conservative base at CPAC, it will be the big mistake of his campaign that will devastate his chances to win in November. McCain may fail to deliver words to heal the split in the Republican Party. With 504 delegates coming out of Super Tuesday, he may have such a big head (thinking of it, he does have a big head!), that he may punt the ball and miss the only opportunity he has to get the conservative base behind him. He may come off as arrogant and stiff-necked. If he falters here, it will fail to understand the real reason for the terrible turnout for Republicans on Super Tuesday. Republicans failed to turn out because the conservative base is already turned off to the poor choice of candidates left in the hunt.

appoint strict constructionist judges
Actually believe Mr "Gang of 14 plan to surrender to the Democrats rather then fight to get strict constructionists judges appointed" McCain is going to fight his good friends Russ Feingold, Ted Kennedy and John Kerry on Judicial Appointments?
