There is a word for people who would harm their country to spite their political party. It begins with 'A' and ends with 'hole.'

There is a word also for people willing let the country go to hell just to blindly support their political party. And I'd rather be called the one you gave me than "traitor".
The point is... if John McCain represents the Republican party, then I am very clearly not a Republican so this has nothing to do with spite for "my political party".

I, for one, only view a political party as a vehicle to see my conservative beliefs put into policy. When the former is no longer conducive to the latter, I owe it no allegiance.
