A valid point but George Allen didn’t run a good senate race, either. I watched all the speeches tonight they were weak and boring. I’m afraid our system is not bringing forward tough intelligent people.

Allen had the Washington Post hitting him with everything they could muster, while Webb, who has turned out to be everything we thought he’d be and then some, was portrayed as the heroic war hero (dang, why does that sound familiar?) who could do no wrong.

Allen’s speeches weren’t necessarily Reaganesque, but he outlined conservative principles.

They're killed in the cradle. The Dims and MSM knock out the Boltons and DeLays, etc.

After volunteering on a few campaigns and seeing the so-called professionals running things, I came to the conclusion that people who can’t do anything else, go into politics. The problem is that we give them so much power. Government needs to be cut down to a minimal size. Then these bozos won’t be able to do as much damage as they do. The next best option is gridlock, so they can’t get anything done.
