So let me get this straight: McCain takes his ball and runs to the Democrats, royally screws the GOP time and again, and after he’s repeatedly pissed all over himself and us comes back and DEMANDS that we show party unity and support him?

And we’re the whiners if we don’t want to support that backstabbing SOB?

Screw McCain.

Hubby and I were just having this conversation. I refuse to allow other people to say I shouldn't "sulk" or I'm "deranged" because I refuse to vote for McCain.

I believe I have good reasons to not vote for that man, and I am not going to "settle", the way I have in previous elections.

Now, if I tell people that I have good reasons not to vote for Hillary (not ever!), then everyone here would be supportive of my "standing up for my principles". Well, same principles make me refuse to vote for McCain. I don't care what he may say on the campaign trail, I cannot believe him. I have watched him in action too long to buy any kind of politically expedient platitudes that may come out of his mouth. He hates conservatives and conservatism. He wants open borders, he has succeeded in restriciting our first amendment rights of political speech. He has drunk deep the "global warming/climate change" koolaid and has devised a plan to regulate and tax us in order to please the eco-nazis. I could go on and on. I will not vote for this man, I cannot. I will not vote for HRC or Obama because, well Hillary should be self-explanatory; Obama --- seems like a nice guy, but what exactly is his platform? Does he ever actually say anything, or does he just speak in a very convincing way, saying nothing?

Anyway, I am a resident of Washington state, so I will vote to (re)elect Dino Rossi. I will probably write in someone in the Presidential race.
