To: College Repub

I normally don’t believe in legislating morality but I cannot sanction the killing of innocents. I think abortion is a common sense issue that doesn’t need to be deemed outrageous by the religious powers-at-be. At some point, you have to stand for something. Innocent, defenseless beings are a good place to draw that line in the sand.

Some do not consider them (read, the unborn little ones) to be 'alive' innocent beings, just becoming alive.

In any case, I think Roe v Wade was incorrectly decided. So I think this should be a state issue. So I want Roe v Wade to be overturned, but I oppose a “sanctity of life” amendment. I don’t see any inconsistency in that view, but flame away.

Anyway, that’s no more legislating morality than laws against murder or slavery are legislating morality.
