Its a Pyrrhic victory if Bush and the congress inadvertently destroyed the republican brand with ineffective social programs, humongous deficits, a gigantic trade imbalance, and an incalculable price of this war(can’t leave but can we afford to spend billions of dollars there for the next ten years?)
Bush got a bum deal. 911 and the subsequent war are not “Bush’s fault”. But perhaps the mess will be left in Hillary’s lap and even more, lol.
