That would be no surprise. He's campaigned to them on many Spanish language media outlets.

Do people forget that the western states have not reported. Romney is going to have a clean sweep in the West (other than AZ) and the upper midwest. By tomorrow morning he could end up winning 8 states and be a strong #2 in delegates.

I hope at the CPAC next week, McCain falls all over his face appealing to the conservatives. That is going to be foreign territory to him because he would be more comfortable with Kennedy and Leiberman.

Trending towards Romney. Not all the results are in yet.

McCain was also favored to get TN. Romney never had a chance in any of those southern states. It benefits him that they went to Huckabee, because it prevents McCain from jump out too far front.

He won ND.

...and he's leading in MN, very close in AZ and don't forget he's won UT, MA, NV, and MI...not bad. And it's still early out west.

Lol, evangelicals have no problem supporting Catholics, Jews, and etc. My political hero is Sen. Santorum who is a devout Catholic. The only reason that religious conservatives ended up going to Huckabee was that none of the other candidates were acceptable. The party elites were pushing Rudy Mcromney from the beggining. Fred Thompson didn’t enter untill late and then never reached out to social conservatives. So, they rallied around Huckabee the one candidate who reached out to them and hadn’t flip flopped on social conservative issues. The only real mistake they made was not rallying behind Duncan Hunter but sadly his campaign was never able to effectively get his social conservative positions out to most of these voters.

Oh crap. McCain is rapidly closing in Missouri

St. Louis county is starting to come in. I'd put Missouri in McCain's column, unfortunately.

He doesn't have the "common man" touch that a lot of conservatives like, and the Mormonism probably doesn't help, either, especially in the South.

Heard that the Huckster campaigned from a lot of churches, don't imagine they would let a Mormon cultist set foot within their hallowed walls, cough, cough!

Unbelievable egos of some of these guys, that they won’t admit defeat and pull out. (Including Huckabee, but we don’t know how much HE was paid off by McCain and perhaps the Democratic Party to stay in the race.) The only reason McCain has got the majority of votes at this time is that he’s the only Democrat in the Republican primary.

the bashing and ridicule of every other candidate and their supporters basically shows why Romney and his supporters can’t win ... their ARROGANCE

We want Evangelicals, and people of all religions on board in our Republican Party.

Including Islam? Including Atheism? Including witchcraft?

This is the problem with today's GOP. This is why conservatives are loosing tonight: because the GOP isn't giving Christians anyone to vote for. We will NOT vote for a Mormon cultist. We will NOT vote for someone who isn't fully committed to marriage and the family. Period. Huckabee pretends to be a Christian and pro-family, so he (sadly) gets our votes.

Don't want any more RINOs running for office? Start nominating real, conservative CHRISTIANS who we will vote for -- otherwise, you can kiss our 30 million votes goodbye.

Thank you for just confirming what a great decision I've made to leave this party.

"It will be McCain vs. a liberal democrat."

You mean Soros vs. Soros, don't you?

One thing that makes me feel a little better is that Hillary is getting trounced tonight. Hopefully, we are witnessing the end of the Clinton era. We may well be.

Romney should get to the Convention, put up the name of Haley Barbour for President in nomination, and then pledge his delegates to him.

That would throw a real monkey wrench into the proceedings ;)
________________________________________________

Wouldn’t it. Huckster voters would love Barbour. So it would be an odd coalition of Huckster and Romney voters!

Sadly, all a candidate like Hucksterbee has to do is call himself an evangelical, press a few buttons like evolution, and bam-o, he’s got the evangelical zombie vote. I’m certainly not trashing all evangelicals, just the ones who check their brains at the church and don’t care if their guy is a liberal or that he’s helping a liberal like McBane. I wonder how many of them just want to stop the Mormon.

“Green Collar Jobs”

That’s Socialist Code for “FORCED RESETTLEMENT to agriculture” right?

No, it's socialist code for governmnet-subsidized jobs for "environmental causes."
