Pollywog and you are the ones who base your votes on religion; not me.
You have this slightly wrong... for me at least. I take God's Word, Pray and ask wisdom from Him, then I vote and leave the rest to God! I voted my conscience. That doesn't mean that Huckabee will win either! It means I choose to be obedient to God, and trust HIM for our country. We have long ago turned our back on The GOD of the Universe and judgement is about to come from His Hand.(read His Handbook of Instructions!) I will NOT compromise. I wanted Hunter! ...and if McCain is the nominee I will WRITE in HUNTER! It was all of you fearful ones that felt Hunter couldn't win that have put us into this position by compromising and going with the lesser candidates!
I base my votes upon several considerations, including other-worldly commitments...as do the majority of Americans (54% said they would not vote for an atheist).
On the other hand, take a look at post #369 and you'll see the real folks who apparently base their votes and support upon religion (and everybody gives them a free pass...how inconsistent of you and them).
